Summer 2017 Class Applications Opened

The application for the Summer 2017 is now active.  Note:  for Summer 2017, we are using a Survey Monkey survey for our application process.  The link is listed below.  If for any reason you don't want your information entered into Survey Monkey, please send an e-mail message to ctaadmin@sandia.gov.

Summer 2017 Session

We are pleased to announce that we will again be teaching a class, from July 31st through August 10th, 2017.  We'll be teaching the Introduction to Cyber Technologies class from 10am-1pm Monday through Thursday during both of those weeks (8 total class sessions).

This class will be taught on the campus of Las Positas College in Livermore.  More details regarding the exact location will be sent to students who are accepted for the class.  We expect to have the application (on this web site) available no later than Monday March 27th, 2017.  The deadline for applications is Monday April 17th, 2017 at 9pm PDT.

Students must be officially enrolled in a local high school.  We will have some number of Las Positas College students in the class, applying through a separate process.

Also, Las Positas College will be offering a CyberPatriot Camp earlier in the summer (June 26th-30th).  Please see this website for information:

We are pleased to announce that we will be teaching a new class, called "Solving CTF Challenges"  on Monday afternoons (4-6pm) from October 24th through December 12th.  This class is only open to those who have completed our "Introduction to Cyber Technologies" class.  Past students should have received e-mail regarding the class.  Please direct any questions via e-mail to cta-admin@sandia.gov

Summer  Class Announcement, New Location, and CyberPatriot Camp

Sorry for the delay.  We are trying something new!

We are pleased to announce that we will be teaching 1 class, from July 25th through August 4th.  We'll be teaching the Introduction to Cyber Technologies course from 9am-12pm Monday through Thursday each of these two weeks.  

What's new is our location:  We'll be teaching this class on the campus of Las Positas College in Livermore.  More details about the exact location will be sent to students who are accepted.  We expect to have the application available by Tuesday April 19th and the deadline for applications is Monday May 2nd at 6pm PDT.

Also, at this location, we should be able to admit students who are not US citizens.  But, students must be officially enrolled in a local high school.

In addition, Las Positas College will be offering a CyberPatriots Boot Camp the week following our class (starts August 8th).  More information at:  http://lpc1.clpccd.cc.ca.us/lpc/dfields/cybersecurity/cybersecurity.html.  CyberPatriot is a nation-wide competition in cybersecurity.  We anticipate several local high schools will stand up teams to compete during the coming academic year.  More information at:  https://www.uscyberpatriot.org/

Spring Class Announcement and Information Regarding Summer Classes

We are pleased to announce that we will be teaching 1 class, starting the week of March 7th.  On Mondays, we'll be teaching the Introduction to Cyber Technologies course.  We expect to have the application available by Thursday February 11th and the deadline for applications has been extended to 6pm PDT on Monday February 22nd.

As for Summer 2016 classes, we do not yet know what will be offered.  We expect to have made decisions by early March 2016.

Fall Classes Announcement

We are pleased to announce that we will be teaching 2 classes, starting the week of October 5th.  On Thursdays, we'll be teaching the Introduction to Cyber Technologies course.  On Mondays, we'll be teaching back-to-back short courses:  Cryptography (for 5 weeks) and the first half of a new Introduction to Cyber Security course.  Note:  The Monday classes will only be avaialble to students who have completed the Introduction to Cyber Technologies course.  We expect to have the application available on Monday September 21st and the deadline for applications will be 6pm PDT on Friday September 25th.
